  DRY, ODD TASTING , EXPENSIVE CAKE
  My wife recently purchased a cake for my daughters Hen Doo. She asked for a "hen" wearing a veil and some eggs and it was to be made in a nest. She expected that it would be a little figurine , like a 'husband and wife' cake topper size. The hen was huge, actually like a real life size hen, it was ridiculous looking, so bad it was actually funny! So I would advise anyone making an order to be very clear about what they are wanting. However, that misunderstanding I could live with, but the cake itself was supposed to be a carrot cake, there were 11 people on the hen do and not one of us enjoyed the cake. It was heavy and tasted more like a cross between a gingerbread cake and a dumpling and it was also very dry. The thing is , she collected it on Friday 10th at about lunch time and we ate it the next day on the 11th at lunch time (well tasted it, eating it would have been a stretch!). so, when would we have had to have eaten it, for it not to have been dry? Really disappointed that for a very expensive cake it was dry and did not in any way taste like a normal carrot cake would taste. Buyer beware!!!
